That’s Not Gross, That’s Gwar

Actually it’s both as Gwar announces its “Return Of The World Maggot” fall tour.

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again – the Gwar publicity machine puts out the best tour announcements… ever, bar none.

Here is what we received today:

“Momentarily putting down his crack pipe, the warty front thing and mutant overlord Oderus Urungus spoke about the carnage that is sure to ensue when Gwar tours North America:

“‘Once again we blow the mighty horn of war, and summon the most fanatical fans in metal history to pay homage to their brutal overlords, us. Between holding Crack-a-Thons, having Gwar-B-Qs, you might think that your Lords and Masters had forgotten about you … but you won’t get off that easy! Gwar is returning to personally slap the teeth out of your collective mouths, and have a great time while doing it.’”

The fall butchery begins in Charlotte, N.C., at Amos’ Southend Oct. 18 and wraps in New Haven, Conn., at Toad’s Place Nov. 27. Other stops for Gwar’s patented style of debauchery include Washington, D.C., at the 9:30 Club Oct. 20; Clifton Park, N.Y., at Northern Lights Oct. 22; Toronto’s Phoenix Concert Theatre Oct. 25; Detroit at Harpo’s Oct. 29; Chicago’s House Of Blues Oct. 31; Vancouver, British Columbia, at Commodore Ballroom Nov. 7; West Hollywood’s House Of Blues Nov. 12; Atlanta’s Masquerade Nov. 22; and Philadelphia at the Electric Factory Nov. 26.

Every Time I Die, Ghoul and Warbeast appear on all dates.

Gwar also announced that the “Crack-a-Thon” will return featuring Oderus Urungus delivering a “spoken turd” performance in Brooklyn, N.Y., at the MF Gallery Sept. 2-3. Featuring two performances per night, all four shows will be streamed live via Gwar.net.

Finally, Gwar’s Kickstarter-funded animated project, “The Blood Vomits,” is nearly finished, resulting in this slightly NSFW teaser trailer.
