Relax, due out Sept. 13, is Das Racist’s first commercially released album. Fans can purchase the first single, titled “Michael Jackson,” now through iTunes. Last year the trio released two mixtapes as free downloads: “Shut Up, Dude” and “Sit Down, Man.”

Das Racist, which is described by The New Yorker as “unsettling as they are entertainer,” features MCs Kool A.D and Heems as well as hype man Dapwell. According to a press release, the trio plans to “impregnate America with pop-art rap stylings [and] next-level street literature.” The group is bringing along Despot and Danny Brown on tour as special guests.

After playing in St. Louis Aug. 28 and in Seattle Sept. 4, the fall tour begins Sept. 12 in New York at Bowery Ballroom. U.S. dates are booked through a Nov. 7 gig in Portland, Ore., at Branx.

Stops along the way include Providence, R.I., at The Met (Sept. 30); Washington, D.C., at 9:30 Club (Oct. 1); New Orleans at Howlin’ Wolf (Oct. 11); Indianapolis at The Vogue (Oct. 17); Chicago at Reggies Rock Club (Oct. 20); Lawrence, Kan., at Granada Theatre (Oct. 22); and Houston at Fitzgerald’s (Oct. 26).

A European tour is scheduled Nov. 30 through Dec. 17.

Tickets are on sale now.
