Evanescence’s Grand Return

Evanescence will return to the road this fall for their first tour since 2007. The rock band also has a new album to go along with the dates.

Earlier this week the band premiered its new single, “What You Want” on MTV in addition to releasing the track on iTunes. The group’s self-titled, third studio album is set for release Oct. 11. This is the band’s first album since 2006’s The Open Door.

Singer Amy Lee recently talked to MTV about the decision to go with a self-titled album.

“It’s about the band; it’s more of a band record,” Lee said. “But I started thinking about it, and it’s also that this whole record and the lyrical content and a lot of the things that it’s about to me is about falling back in love with … Evanescence, with what I’ve obsessed over for a decade, longer than that.”
