Label Exec Fitzgerald Dies
Rich Fitzgerald, a veteran of several record companies including Reprise, Geffen and Warner Bros., died in hospice care after a long battle with esophageal cancer Aug. 14.
Fitzgerald was part of RSO Records in the ’70s when it experienced successes with the soundtracks for “Saturday Night Live,” “Grease” and “Fame.”
In the ’80s, he was the promotional rep for Reprise and Warner Bros., working with the top names on their roster.
