OK, maybe she did string a few guitars. Turns out Lynne handled much of the heavy lifting on her new album, Revelation Road, including playing all the instruments in addition to writing the songs. Hailed as her most personal album yet, Revelation Road drops Oct. 18 on the artist’s own indie label, EVERSO Records.

Lynne’s fall tour begins in Carboro, N.C., at the Arts Center Sept. 30 but doesn’t enter traditional play-travel-play territory until two weeks later when she appears at San Diego’s Anthology Oct. 12 followed by two shows in Santa Monica, Calif., at McCabe’s Guitar Shop Oct. 14-15. Other West Coast gigs include Napa, Calif., at the Napa Valley Opera House Oct. 17; San Francisco’s Swedish American Music Hall Oct. 18; Portland, Ore., at Mississippi Studios Oct. 20; Vancouver, British Columbia, at Rio Theatre Oct. 21; and Seattle at The Triple Door Oct. 22.

Heading eastward, look for Lynne playing such places as Denver (Oct. 25); Chicago (Oct. 28); Toronto (Oct. 31); New York City (Nov. 2); Philadelphia (Nov. 5-6); Alexandria, Va. (Nov. 8); and Decatur, Ga. (Nov. 14).
