SCI is describing the upcoming outing, tagged “Roots Run Deep,” as the band’s first multi-city run in four years. During the past four years the band  has limited the number of its live appearances, playing the occasional festival while slotting multi-night runs in various cities.

Now members of the String Cheese Incident are looking at some serious time on the ol’ tour bus. Launching in Asheville, NC, at the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium Nov. 25; the journey will take SCI to Atlanta’s Fox Theatre Nov. 26-27; Athens, Ga., for an evening at the newly re-opened Georgia Theatre Nov. 27; and Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium where the band will open with a special acoustic set Nov. 28.

Other stops are Baltimore’s Lyric Opera House Nov. 30; Upper Darby, Pa., at the Tower Theatre Dec. 1; New York’s United Palace Dec. 2-3; and Boston’s Orpheum Theatre Dec. 4.

All shows will be recorded and made available to fans via the Live Cheese site.

“It’ll be great to immerse ourselves on the road for a bit,” the band’s Michael Kang said in a statement. “There is nothing like the groove we get into when we play nine shows in ten days. It will allow us to take even more chances.”

A fan presale is going on now and general public onsales begin Aug. 25. Visit StringCheeseIncident.com for more information.
