First ‘Keep A Breast Tour’ Launches In Fall

Electro-indie duo Uh Huh Her headline the first ever “Keep A Breast Tour” beginning on the East Coast in October.

Presented by the Keep A Breast Foundation and House Of Blues Entertainment, the tour’s aim is to raise awareness about breast cancer through live shows, interviews, videos and social media. A portion of all ticket sales will go to the Keep A Breast Foundation.

Coinciding with National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Uh Huh Her’s Camila Grey and Leisha Hailey begin the journey at Philadelphia’s Theatre Of Living Arts Oct. 8. Other stops include New York City’s Irving Plaza Oct. 10; Boston’s Paradise Rock Club Oct. 11; Toronto at Phoenix Concert Theatre Oct. 15; Detroit at the Shelter Oct. 18; Atlanta’s Vinyl Oct. 21; Denver’s Larimer Lounge Oct. 28; San Francisco at Slim’s Nov. 2; Seattle at The Crocodile Nov. 4; and Portland, Ore., at the Wonder Ballroom Nov. 6.

There are also plenty of shows at HOB venues throughout the tour with Uh Huh Her playing Cleveland at the Cambridge Room at House Of Blues Oct. 16; Chicago’s HOB Oct. 19; New Orleans at The Parish at House Of Blues Oct. 23; Dallas at the Cambridge Room at House Of Blues Oct. 26; and West Hollywood’s HOB Nov. 1.

Along with promoting breast cancer awareness, Uh Huh Her will have new material to share with fans. The duo’s upcoming album, Nocturnes, arrives in stores Oct. 11.

“I’ve chosen to become part of Keep A Breast because like many others I have been directly affected by breast cancer in my family,” Grey said in a statement. “Luckily both my grandmothers are breast cancer survivors. I think awareness and education are so important in treating this disease because if detected early enough, chances of survival are greatly increased. I’m so happy to be a part of something that will reach young and old alike, and what better way than through music.”

Tickets go on sale Aug. 26. For more information, visit HouseOfBlues.com and Uh Huh Her’s home on Facebook.
