More Cancellations, Postponements Courtesy Of Irene
Mother Nature sure knows how to disrupt even the best laid plans. As Hurricane Irene makes landfall in the Carolinas, the East Coast is preparing for the worst while hoping for the best – no easy task when facing a storm system reportedly 600 miles wide with winds nearing 110 m.p.h. as of Friday morning.
The Dave Matthews Band has postponed two of its three “Caravan” festival dates at Governors Island in New York City. Although today’s Caravan will take place as planned, Saturday and Sunday have been postponed. A message posted to the Dave Matthews Band website says tickets for Saturday and Sunday will be honored at today’s Caravan.
Tonight’s Jeff Foxworthy’s appearance at the Harrington Raceway and Casino in Harrington, DE, has been postponed to a date to be determined later.
Craig Campbell has canceled his Sunday concert planned for Caesars Atlantic City.
The Lynyrd Skynyrd concert scheduled Sunday at the Borgata Hotel, Casino & Spa in Atlantic City has been rescheduled for Oct. 1. Ditto for Donny Osmond who was to perform Saturday night but is now scheduled for Oct. 9. Meanwhile, Borgata’s Music Box has canceled Frankie Valli’s appearances scheduled for this weekend.

HMag Fest scheduled for Hoboken Saturday and featuring The Walkmen has been postponed and will take place in September on a date to be named later.
The Travis Tritt concert scheduled for Sunday at the Indian Ranch in Webster, Mass., has been canceled.
