Remembering The Jackson 5 Brick By Brick

Wanna own a piece of pop music history? The venue that hosted The Jackson 5’s first public appearance is being sold off brick by brick.

Mister Lucky’s Lounge in the Jacksons’ hometown of Gary, Ind., was the place father Joe Jackson turned to in 1964 when he felt his boys were ready for the spotlight. These days the structure is scheduled to be torn down, leaving it to the project dubbed Mister Lucky’s Lounge LLC to preserve the building’s pop history legacy.

Bricks from the building are being sold in three packages – Diamond, Platinum and Gold – with each package containing a brick along with a letter of authentication. The Diamond package also includes a Mister Lucky’s Lounge T-Shirt, hat, poster and button pack. The Platinum package isn’t quite as hefty and only includes the T-shirt and poster. Folks opting for the Gold package will only receive the button pack along with their bricks.
