Summit To Help Break Global Market

Independent Music New Zealand, the New Zealand Music Commission and the Music Managers’ Forum have jointly set up the Going Global Music Summit.

It will be in Auckland Sept. 12 and Wellington Sept. 14, offering tips from speakers from three countries.

From the U.S. are Paul Hanly (Frenchkiss Records), Dick Huey (Toolshed) and Adam Lewis (The Planetary Group).

Two UK speakers are Natalie Judge of Matador Records and BBC6 new music DJ/programmer Jen Long.

From Australia are Graham Ashton from the BigSound summit and Will Larnach-Jones of Parallel Management.

Bands including Collapsing Cities, Cairo Knife Fight The Vietnam War, Stereo Bus, The Transistors and Computers Want Me Dead will showcase.
