Sting’s 60th B-Day Bash

Lady Gaga, Bruce Springsteen and Stevie Wonder will be among the guest performers helping Sting celebrate his 60th birthday with a star-studded charity event in New York City.

Taking place at the Beacon Theatre, Oct. 1, the benefit for the poverty-fighting Robin Hood Foundation will also include guest performances by Mary J. Blige, Herbie Hancock, Robert Downey Jr., Vince Gill, will.i.am., Rufus Wainwright, Branford Marsalis, Billy Joel and Chris Botti.

Backing Sting will be guitarist Dominic Miller, bassist Christian McBride, keyboardist David Sancious, drummer Vinnie Colaiuta and backing vocalists Jo Lawry, Lisa Fischer and Tabitha Fair.

How can you get tickets to this extravaganza celebrating the 60th anniversary of Sting entering this world as well as the 25th anniversary of his solo career? The short answer is, you can’t. According to Sting.com, tickets will not go on sale to the general public. However, beginning today, tickets are being made available to members of Sting’s official fan club.
