The Sounds Return To North America

Put on your dancin’ shoes because the Swedish indie group launches its headlining tour in October.

Although the band did a few U.S. dates earlier this year, the last time The Sounds served up an authentic coast-to-coast run through North America was late 2009. Since then, the group released its latest album, Something To Die For, and will climb on board the tour bus for a six-week journey beginning in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., at the Culture Room Oct. 12.

Other stops include Orlando, Fla., at Firestone Live Oct. 13; Anaheim, Calif., at House Of Blues Oct. 16; Denver’s Gothic Theatre Oct. 19; Toronto’s Opera House Oct. 26; New York City’s Webster Hall Nov. 4; Los Angeles at The Wiltern Nov. 16; and Vancouver, British Columbia, at the Commodore Ballroom Nov. 22.

Natalia Kills and The Limousines appear on all dates. DJs Kids At The Bar will spin between sets.

“We’ll probably tour for another year on this album, and then go home to write new songs,” The Sounds’ Felix Rodriguez said in a statement. “It’s on tour we collect ideas and get inspired to write. So once this tour is done, we’ll probably start working in the studio and then … out again on the road.”
