During the rehearsals for the tour last year, Bonham told Pollstar that the multimedia project was never intended to be a total reproduction of Zeppelin, but was created to honor the band’s musical spirit and present the famous quartet within the context of his own memories of his father, Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham.

“Led Zeppelin was the pinnacle of cool,” Bonham said. “They were mysterious. They were rebels. They swaggered. There was a mystique. They were bombastic, they were loud, they were renegades. You can’t capture that. It’s one reason I said no one was going to dress up, wear wigs or suits. This is all about my experience with Led Zeppelin. Most of the stories are my moments with them. Or a moment with my dad at a certain concert.”

Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Experience returns to the road beginning with a gig in Riverside, Calif., at the Fox Performing Arts Center Oct. 12. Stops also include Bakersfield, Calif., at the Majestic Fox Theater Oct. 13; Englewood, N.J., at the Bergen Performing Arts Center Oct. 27; Upper Darby, Pa., near Philadelphia at the Tower Theatre Oct. 29; Boston’s Wilbur Theatre Oct. 31; New York City’s Best Buy Theater Nov. 1; and Rama, Ont., at Casino Rama Entertainment Centre Nov. 5.

There are also a few make-up dates on this journey. Earlier this year illness forced Bonham to postpone a few shows until fall. This time around JBLZE will play Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre Oct. 14; Las Vegas at Aliante Casino Oct. 15; Sacramento, Calif., at the Crest Theatre Oct. 17 and Napa Valley, Calif., at the Uptown Theatre Oct. 18. Tickets for the originally scheduled shows will be honored on the new nights.

Some shows are already on sale. Visit JBLZE.com for more information.
