After weeks of speculation, Dainty Consolidated Entertainment announced two shows downunder by Eminem — at Melbourne’s Etihad Stadium Dec. 1 and Sydney Football Stadium Dec. 2.
Media reports suggested that the rapper was initially in negotiations to headline Big Day Out in January but these stalled over his fee.
Eminem will perform the two Australian shows with Lil’ Wayne and multi-platinum act Hilltop Hoods.
Sade returns downunder after 20 years for seven shows Dec. 2-17. Four arena dates are through Michael Coppel Presents and three are as part of Roundhouse Entertainment’s “A Day On The Green” winery shows.
Chugg Entertainment and Rob Potts Entertainment Edge expanded Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s headlining role at the CMC Rocks The Hunter festival to a full-blown tour. They play six arenas March 14-27. It’s the first time the duo toured together outside North America, and is Hill’s first Australian tour.
Live Nation announced that Monster Magnet canceled a week before its tour commenced.
Explosions In The Sky and Mudhoney, here in December for Meredith Music festival, announced sideshows through Handsome Tours. It is Mudhoney’s sixth visit downunder.
Next month’s Rewind ’80s festival added Cutting Crew, T’pau, The Real Thing, Candi Staton and Right Said Fred as well as The Straits, which is made up of ex-members of Dire Straits.
