MCR Dumps Drummer For Stealing

My Chemical Romance has swapped a member of the band mid-tour because drummer Michael Pedicone was allegedly caught stealing from the band.

What went down is not clear, and it appears MCR will not elaborate on the matter.

Pedicone “was caught red handed stealing from the band and confessed to police after our show last night in Auburn, Washington,” guitarist Frank Iero posted on the band’s website the day after playing at Auburn’s White River Amphitheatre as part of the Sept. 1. “We are heartbroken and sick to our stomachs over this entire situation.

“The band has no intention of pressing charges or taking this matter any further than we have to,” Iero added. “We just want him out of our lives. The people who play in this band are a family, and family should not take advantage of each other like he did.”

Pedicone was replaced by Jarrod Alexander, drummer for Dead Country and formerly for Death By Stereo.

“What happened is more complicated than it sounds but I did make a mistake,” Pedicone tweeted. “It was never my intention to hurt this band or all of you … It was an error in judgment based on a whole other situation that’s way deeper but this does not define me.”

Pedicone was MCR’s third drummer, replacing Bob Bryar last year.
