This year’s festival takes place Oct. 28-30 in various venues in downtown Asheville, N.C. The event takes its name from Bob Moog, who is best known as the inventor of the Moog synthesizer. Asheville was Moog’s home for the last 30 years of his life.
Moby and TV On The Radio will get the fun started by performing Oct. 28. Friday’s lineup also includes Tangerine Dream, Chromeo, Flying Lotus, Little Dragon, Holy F**k, The Antlers, Mayer Hawthorn, and Matthew Dear.
Passion Pit and Umphrey’s McGee will help close out the festival Oct. 30. They share the Sunday lineup with M83, James Murphy, Pat Mahoney, Ghostland Observatory, Childish Gambino, Beats Antique, Glasser, and Toro Y Moi.
A full schedule with times and venues will be announced in mid-October. This schedule will be interactive and able to sync with smart phones.
