Mosaic Place Debut

It’s out with the old and in with the new for the city of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, with the grand opening of the $60 million Mosaic Place complex Aug. 19.

The state-of-the-art venue features a 4,367-capacity arena with private seats and club seating, an eight-sheet curling facility, banquet and meeting rooms.

The multi-use complex, home to the Western Hockey League Moose Jaw Warriors, will also host concerts, trade shows, conventions, sports and other events.

The facility is named for The Mosaic Company, which has a 10-year, $1.5 million naming rights deal with the city, according to Mosaic’s website.

Mosaic Place replaces the aging, 3,146-capacity Moose Jaw Civic Centre.
