Denver: Red Rocks Safe

Denver officials are insisting that the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater is safe after rocks fell on concertgoers, injuring seven people and sending four of them to the hospital.

City cultural affairs spokeswoman Kristin Rust says a contractor that specializes in drilling, blasting, rock and soil stabilization has been called in to inspect the rock formations to make sure there are no more incidents. The popular concert venue is outside Denver.

She says authorities do not know if the rock fall early Sunday was natural or caused by climbers.
