When we last looked at the state of the tribute to the late Moonwalker set for Oct. 8 in Cardiff, Wales, at Millennium Stadium, there were unconfirmed reports that Foxx was being added to the bill that includes Christina Aguilera, Smokey Robinson, Cee-Lo Green, Ne-Yo, Leona Lewis, Craig David and The Jacksons. Since then, a Foxx representative confirmed the actor/comedian will host the show.

As rumors of Foxx’s participation began circulating last week, so did reports that fans might not be all that enamored about him appearing at the tribute concert. Although Foxx has often called Jackson the greatest entertainer that ever lived, stories of him joking about the King Of Pop indicated that some of his past remarks didn’t sit that well with fans.

One act – KISS – has already been dropped from the bill after fans expressed their outrage regarding remarks Gene Simmons made two years ago in which the bassist reportedly said he believed Jackson was guilty of child molestation charges.

While “Michael Forever – The Tribute Concert” has been endorsed by Jackson family matriarch Katherine and will include appearances by The Jacksons as well as the band 3T consisting of Tito Jackson’s sons, the concert is not endorsed by the Michael Jackson estate.

Nor is it endorsed by MJ siblings Jermaine, Randy or Janet. Jermaine and Randy Jackson issued a statement the same day the show was announced saying they felt the tribute concert should not take place during the same time Dr. Conrad Murray stands trial on involuntary manslaughter charges for allegedly causing the King of Pop’s death. More recently, Janet Jackson said the trial will keep her from attending the tribute show.

But what do you think? Since July when the concert was announced, fans have expressed dissatisfaction regarding the event’s ticket prices, location and timing. Do you think “Michael Forever” will be a tribute concert fit for the King Of Pop?
