Bill Clinton Foundation Show Performers Announced
“A Decade Of Difference: A Concert Celebrating 10 Years Of The William J. Clinton Foundation,” is set for Oct. 15 in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Bowl.
Additional artists will be added to the lineup. An announcement about the concert promises that the event will feature “an all-star group of the most influential and socially responsible artists in music, film and television.”
All ticket proceeds benefit the Clinton Foundation, which has spent the past 10 years working to improve global heath, strengthen economies worldwide, and protect the environment.
“I am proud that some of today’s most influential performers are coming together to raise awareness about the work of my Foundation,” said former President Bill Clinton.
“In the past decade, commitments to my Clinton Global Initiative have improved the lives of more than 300 million people around the world. We’ve lowered the cost of AIDS and HIV treatment, combated climate change, strengthened economies, increased access to education and healthcare, provided financing and mentoring for small businesses. This celebration marks ten years of these efforts and demonstrates how much we can do to make a difference in the years ahead.”
A pre-sale for American Express cardmembers begins Thursday and runs through Sunday. Tickets go on sale to the general public Sept. 19 via Ticketmaster.
The concert will be broadcast live Oct. 15 at http://clintonconcert.yahoo.com. It will also be available on-demand on Yahoo!, in addition to highlights and interviews with the artists and other guests.
Fans can enter to win a VIP trip to the show through the Yahoo! sweepstakes. For information on the contest, fans must “like” Yahoo! on Facebook. For every sweepstakes submission, Yahoo! will donate $1 to the Clinton Foundation, up to $50,000.
