The 2,000-capacity venue sold out its grand opening, according to a statement, which will be kicked off with a guitar-smashing ceremony.
It’s the sixth Fillmore-branded facility now open in the States, and had to overcome a contentious approval process and legal challenges before getting the final go-ahead.
Upcomimg Fillmore Silver Spring shows on the books include John Legend, Blondie, Psychedelic Furs & Tom Tom Club, Rock the Bells, Primus and Cheap Trick.
