Violator Merges With Primary Wave

Primary Wave Music and Violator Management have joined forces to form Primary Violator talent and management firm.

Under the deal, Primary Wave’s Larry Mestel is Chairman and CEO, Violator founder and CEO Chris Lighty becomes COO and Michael “Blue” Williams is president of the new company.

The merger combines Violator’s management clients including 50 Cent, Mariah Carey, LL Cool J, Busta Rhymes and Sean “Diddy” Combs, to name a few, with Primary’s mostly publishing interests, including songs written by John Lennon, Kurt Cobain, Steven Tyler, Def Leppard and many more.
