The Academy of Country Music held its annual ACM Honors at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville Sept. 19.
Romeo Entertainment Group’s Steve “Bogie” Bogdanovich won the Don Romeo Talent Buyer award. Ryman Auditorium’s Sally Williams won promoter of the year, and the Ryman got venue of the year.
Nightclub of the year went to Joe’s Bar in Chicago, and the casino of the year is Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Conn.
Reba received the Career Achievement Award and Taylor Swift received the Jim Reeves International Award, which is presented to an individual for outstanding contributions to the acceptance of country music throughout the world.
The Tex Ritter Award, which is given to a movie with major exposure, went to “Country Strong.” John Dorris, who launched Hallmark Direction Company in 1983, got the Mac Boren Axton Award for dedication and service by an outstanding individual.
