Black Rabbit Fest Debuts
Yet another Chinese music festival debuted the weekend of Sept. 17-18. The Black Rabbit Festival is a one-day affair that took place in Beijing at the Chaoyang Sports Park on Sept. 17 and in Shanghai at the Shanghai Rugby Club on Sept. 18.
A total of 28 acts performed, divided equally between local and international artists.
Among the latter were 30 Seconds to Mars, Yellowcard, Ludacris, 120 Days, Gold Panda, Perfume Genius, Titus Andronicus, Grandmaster Flash, Saigon and Mount Kimbie.
One of the organizers is Split Works, a local music promoter who has brought many Western indie acts to China in the past few years.
