IEBA Nominations

The International Entertainment Buyers Association has announced nominees for its Oct. 4 awards banquet at the Sheraton Downtown Nashville during the annual conference and trade show.

IEBA Chairman of the Board Linda Smith said in a statement the awards categories have been revamped to better reflect all types of entertainment buying including Casino, Corporate, Fair, Festival, Club and College.

Up for agent of the year are CAA’s Stan Barnett, WME’s Rob Beckham and Barry Jeffrey, Paradigm’s Greg Janese and The Agency Group’s Nick Meinema.

Venue executive of the year nods go to John Bolton of the BOK Center, Brian Gale of the Prudential Center, Arvind Manocha of the Hollywood Bowl, Ralph Marchetta of US Airways Center and Patti-Anne Tarlton of Air Canada Centre.

Casino buyer nominations are Billy Alan’s Bill Brill, Mystic Lake Casino’s Josh Flom, C3’s Peter Manning, Grand Casino Hinckley’s Shena Sawyer, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s Robyn Smith and Mohegan Sun / Live Nation Worldwide’s Anna Zappala.

Festival buyers are C3’s Charles Attal for Austin City Limits Festival and Lollapalooza, AC Entertainment’s Ashley Capps for Bonnaroo, Goldenvoice’s Paul Tollett for Coachella and Bob Babisch for Summerfest.

Fair buyers are The Big E!’s John Juliano, Minnesota State Fair’s Renee Pearson, America’s Fair – Erie County Fair’s Paul Schober and Wilson Events’ Suzanne Wilson.
