Wasting Away In Vegas

Margaritaville comes to Las Vegas in the form of a 15,000-square-foot casino inspired by Jimmy Buffett’s fictional oasis.

The Margaritaville Casino at the Flamingo is to open Oct. 1.

The Flamingo, which already sported a Margaritaville restaurant, underwent a recent renovation that expanded the motif throughout the casino floor, complete with indoor palm trees and tropical colors.

Part of the grand reopening festivities involves mixing the world’s biggest margarita, and Guinness World Record officials will be on hand to observe as casino mixologists create the 8,500-gallon adult beverage, including 2,000 gallons of tequila.
