Who’s in Utopia for this outing other than Rundgren? We wouldn’t blame you if you’re a little foggy regarding the band’s lineup. Several musicians played in Utopia during the band’s heyday including Sales brothers Tony and Hunt who, with David Bowie, formed Tin Machine in the late 1980s.

This version of Utopia features Kevin Ellman, Jesse Gress, Moogy Klingman, Ralph Schuckett, John Siegler and Kasim Sulton.

The tour begins in Florida at Hollywood’s Hard Rock Casino Nov. 2; Fort Pierce, Fla., at the Sunrise Theatre Nov. 3; Clearwater at Ruth Eckerd Hall’s Capitol Theatre Nov. 5; and Jacksonville’s Florida Theatre Nov. 6.

Heading northward, Utopia stops at Atlanta’s Center Stage Nov. 9; Durham, N.C., at Carolina Theatre Nov. 10; Akron, Ohio, at the Civic Auditorium Nov. 12; Westbury, N.Y., at the NYCB at Westbury Nov. 13; Boston’s Wilbur Theatre Nov. 15; Englewood, N.J., at Bergen Performing Arts Center Nov. 16; Peekskill, N.Y., at Paramount Center For The Arts Nov. 18; and Upper Darby, Pa., at Tower Theatre Nov. 19.

Some dates are already on sale. General onsales for Jacksonville, Atlanta, Akron, Durham, and Boston go up Friday; Upper Darby Oct. 7; Peekskill Oct. 9; Hollywood Oct. 12 and Fort Pierce Oct. 30.  While  you’re mulling which road you’ll take to Utopia, here’s a YouTube lip from when the 1978 version of the band appeared on the Mike Douglas Show.
