24 More Claims Filed In Collapse

Indiana has been hit with 24 more tort claims, basically notices of intent to sue, from victims and families in the aftermath of the deadly stage collapse at the State Fair Aug. 13, bringing the number filed to 45.

That number includes multiple claimants from the same family, while other family members filed their own claims separately.

Tort claim filings are required before a lawsuit can be filed seeking a share of the $5 million pool available to victims under state law.
