Raggamuffin Introduces Pay-Later

Promoter Andrew McManus introduced a “book now, pay later” ticketing for Raggamuffin, which will be at Rotorua, New Zealand’s International Stadium Jan. 27-28.

In the past four years, its reggae, roots, R&B and hip-hop bill attracted 30,000 to the 12-hour event.

“We know how much New Zealanders love Raggamuffin and we want to make it as accessible as we can for everyone,” McManus said. “Times are tough but that doesn’t mean we can’t have fun if we budget for it.”

The 2012 tour bypasses Australia but is expected to return in 2013.

Meanwhile, acts from the NZ bill – Ali Campbell’s UB40, Billy Ocean and Big Mountain featuring Junior Marvin – play Australia together for theatre shows at Melbourne’s Palais Theatre, Sydney State Theatre and Brisbane Riverstage Jan. 23-26.
