Stevie B Arrested At Concert

Stevie B, who had a No. 1 R&B hit in 1990, was hauled off the stage at the MassMutual Center in Springfield, Mass., Sept. 30 on charges of owing $420,000 in unpaid child support.

The performer, born Steven Bernard Hill, was surprised by the arrest and concerned he’d miss a weekend show in Providence, R.I., according to Springfield police.

Stevie B topped the charts with “Because I Love You (The Postman Song).” The mother who is owed child support lives in Agawam, Mich., authorities reportedly said.
