Transport Fees Added To Tickets?

Australian fans attending concerts and festivals face the price of traveling on public transport added to the ticket price – even if they don’t use the transport.

Powerful lobby group the Tourism and Transport Forum urged in a report that transport fees become law and apply to entertainment, sporting and cultural events that draw more than 5,000 people.

“The unwillingness of some event organisers to support integrated ticketing is not only disadvantaging event-goers but subjecting the broader community to traffic congestion,” said lobby chief executive John Lee.
