Orange County Fair Board members approved late September the first stage of an $18.5 million renovation plan for the
Funding for the project will come from cash reserves, according to the Daily Pilot.
The $4.5 million initial stage includes building a new box office, landscaping and waterscapes and moving the Memorial Gardens building to another location for possible renovation at a later date, the Pilot said.
The other three phases will include new seating, party decks, backstage dressing rooms and renovated concession stands and restrooms.
OC Fair Board Chairman David Ellis told the paper the shed’s summer concert series will not be interrupted by the work.
