Five seems to be the magic number for Chickenfoot adventures. The band announced its five-date U.S. tour last month. Now the group consisting of frontman Sammy Hagar, guitar maestro Joe Satriani, bassist Michael Anthony and drummer Kenny Aronoff has an equal number of shows scheduled across the pond.

Why Aronoff instead of original drummer Chad Smith who played on the new album? Smith’s tour commitment as a member of Red Hot Chili Peppers is preventing him from joining his Chickenfoot comrades on the road.

Marking the first time Chickenfoot has performed songs from its new album outside the U.S., the tour begins in the U.K., at the Manchester Academy Jan. 12. Next up is a gig at London’s O2 Academy Brixton before heading across the English Channel. Shows on the continent are Paris at Olympia Jan. 16; Tilburg, Netherlands, at the O13 Jan. 17; and Dusseldorf, Germany, at Mitsubishi Electric Halle Jan. 19.

General onsales for Manchester and London begin Oct. 14. Visit Chickenfoot.us for more information.
