Charlie Daniels Keyboardist Dies

Joel “Taz” DiGregorio, 67, longtime keyboard player and vocalist for The Charlie Daniels Band, died Oct. 12 from injuries sustained from a car accident.

DiGregorio was driving in Nashville to meet with the CDB tour bus when the single-car accident occurred, according to a statement.

“I am in shock now. Taz was one of my best friends,” Charlie Daniels said.

The band canceled Oct. 13 and Oct. 15 shows.
