Wilco On The West Coast

Wilco will play the West Coast in early 2012, marking the band’s first run of dates in the region in nearly two years.

Along with shows in California, Oregon and Washington, the tour includes additional gigs in Arizona, Colorado and British Columbia.

The tour begins Jan. 19 in Denver at Fillmore Auditorium. Dates are booked through a Feb. 10 show in Santa Barbara, Calif., at Arlington Theatre.

Wilco will also play Tempe, Ariz., at Gammage Auditorium Jan. 21; San Diego’s Copley Symphony Hall Jan. 22; Hollywood, Calif., at Hollywood Palladium Jan. 24; San Jose, Calif., at San Jose Civic Jan. 28; San Francisco’s Warfield Theatre Jan. 29; and Oakland, Calif., at Fox Theater Jan. 31.

The band’s February schedule begins with a show in Davis, Calif., at Mondavi Performing Arts Center Feb. 1; followed by Eugene, Ore., at Hult Center For Performing Arts Feb. 3; Vancouver, British Columbia, at Orpheum Feb. 5; Spokane, Wash., at INB Performing Arts Center Feb. 6; Seattle’s Paramount Theatre Feb. 7; and Portland, Ore., at Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall Feb. 8.

Wilco is touring in support of its eighth album, The Whole Love. The album was released in September as the first album on the band’s own label dBpm.

The group kicks off a European tour Oct. 24 with dates booked through Nov. 14. A second run of European dates is set for Feb. 26 through March 11.

A run of fall U.S. dates begins Nov. 29 and concludes with three hometown shows in Chicago Dec. 12-13 and 15. The trek includes shows in Dallas, Austin, Minneapolis, Milwaukee and Detroit. Nick Lowe, who supported Wilco in September and early October, will open the Nov. 29 through Dec. 12 shows.
