Although the Kinkster will be performing solo on this journey, he’ll still be hawking his customized Kinky merch, including a brand new Kinky Nano holding more than 200 of his songs as well as his Kinky Jump Drive containing audio versions of three of his books.

But that doesn’t mean Friedman has gone thoroughly modern Kinkster. Word is he still loathes computers and the Internet but has committed to “co-existing with the 21st century.”

The Hanukkah Tour begins in Fort Worth at the Aardvark Nov. 29; plays Kansas City at Knuckleheads Dec. 1 and stops in St. Louis for a gig at Off Broadway Dec. 2. Other destinations include Tulsa, Okla., at the Oklahoma Jazz Hall Of Fame Dec. 5; Des Moines, Iowa, at Vaudeville Mews Dec. 6; Denver’s Oriental Theater Dec. 8 and Aspen, Colo., at Belly-Up Dec. 11. Last show on the routing is in Houston at Mucky Duck Dec. 13.

Friedman will also do his part for various charities before, during and after the tour. He’ll help raise money for the Utopia Animal Rescue Ranch in Salado, Texas, appearing with B.J. Thomas Nov. 26 and with Rodney Crowell and Billy Joe Shaver Dec. 17. His Nov. 30 stop in Memphis will help raise funds for the North American Folk Alliance and his Dec. 5 Tulsa date will help out the Oklahoma Jazz Hall Of Fame.

Of course, you’ll need tickets if you want a Kinky Hanukkah. Click here for more information.
