Costello has cooked up a taste of his 2011 tour for you – a limited edition box set called Elvis Costello & The Return Of The Spectacular Spinning Songbook, recorded during his two-night stand at The Wiltern in Los Angeles May 11-12. Scheduled for a Dec. 6 release on Universal Music Enterprises, the release is limited to 1,500 copies worldwide and each set is individually numbered and includes a special commemoration card signed by Costello.

Assembled as a three-disc set, the first disc is a CD featuring selected recordings from both nights at The Wiltern while the second disc is a DVD from the May 12 show and includes a special guest appearance by The Bangles. The third disc is a 10” vinyl EP with four exclusive recordings. The package also includes a 40-page hardcover book, a tour diary, a 20” x 30” poster and a limited-edition postcard.

Meanwhile, Costello keeps on touring. The latest addition to his journey is a spring jaunt beginning in Dublin at the Grand Canal Theatre May 9 followed by a show in Glasgow, Scotland, at the Clyde Theatre May 11.

Then comes a sweep through England, playing Manchester’s Apollo Theatre May 12; Liverpool’s Empire Theatre May 13; Birmingham’s Symphony Hall May 15; Brighton at the Brighton Center May 16 and Newcastle at City Hall May 18.

Other stops include Nottingham (May 19); Bristol (May 22); London (May 23) and Basingstoke (May 27) before crossing the channel for a gig at Paris’ L’Olympia May 29.

Tickets for all shows go on sale Oct. 28 with the exception of Dublin, which goes up Nov. 3. Visit ElvisCostello.com for more information.
