SIU Director Under Investigation

Officials at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale have launched an investigation into the school’s director of event services.

Bryan Rives oversees the school’s SIU Arena and SIU Shryock Auditorium as well as a non-profit entertainment program.

Rives has been placed on paid leave, the Southern Illinoisan reported, and his attorney told the paper he is cooperating with the investigation, which focuses on the timesheets of student employees.

Officials with the school are uncertain when the investigation will wrap, the Southern added.
