Steven Tyler Falls, Loses Teeth
The rock band was scheduled to perform Tuesday in Asuncion, Paraguay, at the Jockey Club. Garzia Group spokesman Marcelo Antunez., who described the accident as “minor,” announced that the show has been postponed until Wednesday.
However, Tyler lost two of his teeth, which were replaced with dental implants. He also suffered cuts on his face. The singer was treated at a local hospital and then he returned to the Bourbon hotel near Asuncion.
A bellboy at the Bourbon hotel named Gustavo Perez told a local radio station that Tyler slipped in the shower and “had a nasty fall,” according to Reuters.
Aerosmith’s South American tour kicked off Oct. 22 in Lima, Peru, at San Marcos Stadium. After playing Paraguay the band is scheduled to make stops in Argentina, Brazil, Panama, Colombia and Ecuador. The group will wrap up the year with several shows in Mexico and Japan.
