Laneway’s NZ Venue

The New Zealand version of Australia’s St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival will be Jan. 30 at Silo Park in Auckland.

This is the third Laneway venue in as many years.

The timing and lineup pits it against Big Day Out, which traditionally begins its six-city run in Auckland in late January.

Artists the NZ show will share with its Australian parent include Canada’s Feist, UK’s The Horrors, Cults, Laura Marling, Neil Finn’s band Pajama Club, SBTRKT, Washed Out and Twin Shadow.

The NZ acts include Shayne Carter doing a retrospective of his career, the festival debut by Mint Chicks member Kody Nielson’s new band Opossom, and Bic Runga and Michael Logie.
