Still Locked Out

The National Basketball Association was still in lockout mode at press time, and it looked as if nothing was about to change.

Officials at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and United Center in Chicago weren’t waiting, and had already scheduled other events on December nights when NBA games were to be held. The NBA has given its blessing and plans to move games around those dates, if the NBA starts to play games any time soon.

Meanwhile, 18 NBA players, including Kobe Bryant, have begun a world tour, starting in Puerto Rico. The World All-Star Classic goes to The O2 in London Nov. 1 and 3, and travels to Macau and Austrlia, among other countries.

LeBron James, Chris Bosh, Amare Stoudemire, Steve Nash and other notables might join in.
