Canada Welcomes Prince

With tickets quickly snatched up and plenty of gushing reviews, Prince hasn’t worn out his welcome in America. That being said, the show must still go on. Next month the star will debut his “Welcome 2 Canada” tour.

Prince’s Welcome 2 America tour began in December 2010 with two shows in New Jersey and four nights in New York. The tour also featured six dates in the Carolinas and over two dozen gigs in California. Guest performers on the Welcome 2 America extravaganza included Sheila E., Larry Graham & Graham Central Station, Esperanza Spalding, Maceo Parker, Cassandra Wilson, Janelle Monáe and Mint Condition.

Before spending July and August playing shows throughout Europe Prince headlined the in late June. Now he’s going back to the provinces for his first multi-city national Canadian tour since 2002.
