Gucci Mane’s Sentence Upheld
Attorneys for rapper
Mane, whose real name is Radric Davis, was sentenced in September after pleading guilty to reckless conduct, disorderly conduct and battery for pushing a woman out of a moving vehicle in January. The woman sustained minor injuries and filed a civil suit as a result.
The attorneys offered to have Davis put on a concert on behalf of the DeKalb County Battered Women’s Shelter in exchange for the sentence reduction.
DeKalb State Court Judge Eleanor Ross rejected the offer, saying it wouldn’t be appropriate to let him out just because he’s a rapper.
