St. Pete Now Tampa Times

The St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa, Fla., will be renamed Tampa Bay Times Forum Jan. 1 as part of a renewed naming rights deal between Tampa Bay Arena and the Times Publishing Company.

The contract for the 22,000-capacity venue, home to the NHL’s Tampa Bay Lightning, has also been extended through August 31, 2018, according to a statement.

The facility originally opened as the Ice Palace in 1996 and was renamed St. Pete Times Forum in 2002 under a naming rights deal between Times Publishing and former Lightning parent company Palace Sports & Entertainment.
