X Japan Cancels Beijing

X Japan canceled its first-ever concert in Beijing, which was scheduled for Nov. 2.

The government’s cultural ministry issued a permit for the show but, at the last minute, the promoters called it off due to technical and production issues. They were not explained in detail.

The group expressed its disappointment on its website and promised to reschedule the show as soon as possible.

The Beijing show was part of an Asian tour that included Seoul, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Taipei and Bangkok, and which was to wrap up Nov. 8.
