Radiohead Announces 2012 Dates

Radiohead has mapped out the first portion of next year’s tour schedule with U.S. shows booked from late February through mid-March.

The dates mark the band’s first major U.S. tour since 2008. Radiohead played one show in Los Angeles in 2010, which was followed by two gigs in New York in September.

The 2012 tour begins Feb. 27 in Miami at AmericanAirlines Arena.

Radiohead will also stop by Tampa, Fla. (Feb. 29); Atlanta (March 1); Houston (March 3); Dallas (March 5); Austin (March 7); St. Louis (March 9); Kansas City, Mo. (March 11); and Broomfield, Colo. (March 13). The last show on the routing (so far) is March 15 in Glendale, Ariz., at Jobing.com Arena.

An announcement on the band’s website promises that more dates will be announced.

A number of pre-sale tickets will be available on Wednesday through www.waste-central.com. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Saturday. The only exception is the Tampa show, which goes on sale Nov. 19.

Radiohead’s eighth studio album, The King of Limbs, was released earlier this year.
