Gophers Guard Fired

A security guard at the University of Minnesota’s TCF Bank Stadium was fired after being caught on video pushing, tripping and knocking down fans following a football game.

Fans who watched their home team Gophers win against the University of Iowa’s Hawkeyes apparently had permission to rush the field following the last-minute victory, but one guard wasn’t having it.

Video of the guard getting rough with fans was posted online and handed over to officials with CSC, the company that manages security at the stadium, according to the local KSTP News.

CSC fired the guard for acting inappropriately, U of M Athletic Director Joel Maturi told the station.
