Yanni Announces Spring 2012 Dates

Now that Yanni has wrapped up sold-out shows in Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Asia, the composer/pianist is ready to return to the states for another North American tour.

Next month Yanni has two more 2011 shows to do. On Dec.16-17 he’ll be found in San Juan, Puerto Rico, at Fort San Felipe El Morro.

The first leg of his 2012 tour begins with two gigs in West Palm Beach, Fla., April 17-18 at the Kravis Center. Dates have been announced through a June 27 show in Easton, Pa., at the State Theatre Center For The Arts.

Yanni’s tour schedule will also bring him to Louisville, Ky. (April 28); Chicago (May 2-3); Columbus, Ohio (May 8); Pittsburgh (May 9); Nashville (May 12); Atlanta (May 13-14); Cleveland (May 17); Providence, R.I.(May 19); and Lancaster, Pa. (June 26).

A South American tour is planned for fall 2012 as well as a multi-city tour of China in 2013.

In October Yanni played several shows in China including a gig in Chengdu at the Wu Hou Temple. The government invited Yanni to adopt a panda while he was in Chengdu, an honor usually reserved for countries. The musician named the panda “Santorini” after the Greek island (and the Greek word for “Peace”) as well as his composition featured on his 1994 album Yanni Live at the Acropolis.

Fans can follow along on Yanni’s travels and adventures through his website’s new feature “All Access: Yanni On Tour.” A new episode will be posted every Tuesday. To take advantage of early access and bonus features fans simply need to register for Yanni’s free online fan club, Yanni Community.
