While Umphrey’s McGee has shows scheduled for January including two nights in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., at Revolution Jan. 7-8, a Caribbean voyage on the “Jam Cruise” Jan. 9-14; two nights at New York City’s Best Buy Theatre Jan. 20-21, and the “Mayan Holidaze” with STS9 and Disco Biscuits Jan. 26-30, the winter tour doesn’t officially launch until the band pulls into Minneapolis for two nights at First Avenue Feb. 2-3.

Other stops include Stage College, Pa., at State Theater Feb. 8; Boston’s House Of Blues Feb. 10; Philadelphia at the Electric Factory Feb. 11; Urbana, Ill., at Canopy Club Feb. 19; Belly Up Aspen in Colorado March 7-8 and Seattle at Showbox At The Market March 22.

Next year will also see the inaugural launch of Umphrey’s McGee’s five-day music camp, appropriately dubbed sUMmer school. Taking place Aug. 6-10 at the Full Moon Resort in Big Indian, N.Y., the sUMmer school offers workshops, performances and other group activities on 80,000 picture-perfect acres in the Catskill Mountains.
