The residency begins with a Jan. 2 show at XS.

As for now, that’s the only show officially announced. A spokeswoman for XS and Tryst nightclubs told Pollstar that more dates will be announced throughout the year.

“We had the privilege of having deadmau5 headline at XS several times this year and instantly knew we needed to develop a more permanent relationship,” Jesse Waits, co-owner and managing partner of XS Nightclub, said in a statement. “He brings an unparalleled energy to every set in addition to the most dedicated fans I’ve ever seen. We’re honored to have him call Wynn his home when in Las Vegas.”

Tickets for the Jan. 2 gig are on sale now. If you’re a male, your email bird ticket costs $50. If you’re a female, lucky for you – your ticket is only $30. Service charges not included.

The producer/electronic musician may not be the only act with a new Las Vegas residency to announce. The Las Vegas Sun reports that Mötley Crüe may be taking up a short-term residency at the Hard Rock Hotel.

The newspaper, which notes that “details are shrouded in secrecy,” claims the band will play nearly a month’s worth of three- and four-night shows per week starting at the end of February. An official announcement is expected to be made just before Thanksgiving.
